Rafos Premium Radio Frequency Diathermy Device Multipolar
The Rafos multipolar device for radiofrequency diathermy (conduction heat therapy) offers cosmetic clinics both capacitive and resistive (CRet) electrical transfer treatment of both the skin and adipose tissue. Physiotherapy practices can also benefit from this device for patient pain-relief.
Resistive electric transfer (RET) on this particular device implements a non-insulated electrode for direct current transfer (0.5 MHz) to subcutaneous fat at a distance of up to 12 cm. This mode is used to reduce adipose fat deposits and cellulite, and to encourage lymph drainage. The capacitative mode of the Rafos multipolar RF machine attains depths of up to 5 cm by way of a semi-insulated electrode featuring variable outputs of 300 to 500 kHz for the treatment of skin laxity. In contrast to laser and pulsed light devices that are limited in use in patients with darker skin, radiofrequency energies can be used for patients of all skin types.
Radiofrequency electric transfer treatments are a popular choice for cosmetic clinic clients either for the enhancement of skin texture and tone or in the treatment of subcutaneous fat deposits, particularly in those of a healthy body weight with areas that do not respond to exercise.
The Rafos RF device is a lightweight (12 kg) trolley-mounted device delivered with CET and RET electrodes and probes, a multi-polar probe and patient plate. The Rafos is designed and manufactured by Chung Woo, winner of quality design and R&D awards since its foundation in 2001, and holder of ISO9001 and ISO13485 certification.
