Autoclaves & Sterilisers

What is an autoclave?

An autoclave is an essential tool in many healthcare or laboratory settings, using high-pressure steam to easily and tracelessly eliminate bacteria, viruses, fungi, spores, and other pathogens from medical equipment and instruments.

With autoclave sterilisation easily reaching a heat that’s well above boiling point, an autoclave machine destroys even the most resilient of pathogens to make sure that all instruments are safe for use on patients or in experiments.

Benchtop autoclaves are available in a wide range of sizes, from small tabletop models that (as their name implies) can fit on an average benchtop or counter, to larger models that can handle larger volumes of materials. This means that these handy and easy-to-use machines can be used anywhere, from hospitals to medical practices and research laboratories, dental offices, podiatrists, vets, manufacturing centres, and any other setting where frequent sterilisation is an essential part of safety.
