Various Customisations

• Adjustable Legs: Provide 5cm of height adjustment to ensure optimal seat height and to allow for growth. Both chairs in this picture are size 3.
  
• Seat Belt: Clips into the seat when needed for safety or postural support.
  
• Stability Feet: Enlarge the chair's base of support. They are adjustable like the standard chair legs.
  
• Pelvic Harness: An alternative to a typical seat belt, Rifton's unique pelvic harness secures a student's hips and upper thighs without pressure on the abdomen. The pelvic harness provides a secure, comfortable base for correct posture.
  
• Low Friction Feet: Allow the chair to slide easier over different floor surfaces for easier positioning and reducing the chance of tip-over.

1. Extreme Durability: Children with vestibular or tactile hyposensitivity may exhibit movement-seeking or sensory-seeking behaviour. The Compass Chair is designed and tested to withstand continuous rocking movements.
2. Lateral Support: Children with autism-spectrum disorder can benefit from gentle boundaries for emotional and sensory security. The raised sides of the seat together with the armrests provide reassuring physical borders for relaxed sitting.
3. Tilt: Contoured seat and back.
